Robots
As promised, I am starting a new project that I will be showing here on the blog. The premise will be a robot warband, I will be putting the fluff up as I get a bit further through with the models so hold on for that. . . First a teaser of things to come. . . For the observant of you out there, you might notice something is amiss. . .

And now for something completely different!
I know it's a bit out of left field, but I wanted to show off one of my Space Wolves I had been working on. . .

Finally feeling like I've got to a point that I'm pretty happy with this little lady. . . Now I need to figure out how to base her. . .

Early WIP update
I've made some small adjustments based on your comments Julian, think you were right, so decided to scrape the area back rather than greenstuff over the top, will hopefully all come together in the painting stages. . .
Early WIP Escher ganger
I've made a start on my Escher ganger based on the mini that Julian sent me just recently. I wanted to challenge my greenstuff skills a bit more so am making a few additions as I go. Apart from this, I also removed the other arm at the elbow to make way for another new arm. . .

A few parcels part 2
I love eBay as a resource for miniature conversions and the like, it is also great for finding those little gems that hide away from a long forgotten time in gaming and modelling history. Recently I was lucky enough to not just acquire 1 but 3 different lots from auctions all ending around the same time, the theme that connects them all, John Blanche.
Strangely enough although I didn't know it at the time, the reason I ended up buying my favourite book of all time was because of the cover by the great man himself, this was Krokodil Tears, which I managed to get a copy in pretty good condition (mine has seen very much better days to say the least) alongside 2 other dark future books I hadn't acquired as yet.
Secondly, I also won a copy of the Citadel Miniatures Modelling Guide, this had an old article by John again about his own methodology.
Finally, I also got hold of a quite legendary book, which even though it is not in great condition was a pretty good bargain compared to other copies online, this is the book Ratspike, a collaboration between John Blanche & Ian Miller and full of amazing inspirational prints, well worth a look if you're a fan of John or Ian.

A few parcels
Just yesterday I received a pretty awesome parcel from my good friend Julian Bayliss, Julian had told me that he had some bits he would send me, I didn't expect half of what I received! To say the least, I've now got my hands on some pretty awesome old school metal miniatures so I am sure to be making some crazy conversions from these, watch this space. . .
